Creating New Sheets from Subtable Records for Line Item Analysis

    4 mins

    What Will You Learn?

    • Create New Sheet From Subtable

    Key Concepts

Subtables are great for building one-to-many relationships. But in some cases, it's a bit hard to enter a lot of information in a Subtable, since each row can only hold one value. And since searches in Ragic are based on the main records in a sheet rather than the sub-entries within a Subtable, it can be difficult to search for information stored in Subtables. To make this data more accessible, you can create a new sheet from a Subtable.

For example, you could turn the contacts stored in a Subtable under your "Vendors" sheet into a standalone "Contacts" sheet, so you no longer need to search through each vendor to find a specific contact. Or, you could consolidate the line items from all your orders into an "Order Details" sheet, making it easy to analyze total sales for each product across every order.
